Effective July 1, 2023, I will be departing as pastor of Divine Mercy Parish. Archbishop Aymond has assigned me to become the new pastor of Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mandeville. I called my spiritual director for some advice on how I should approach the remainder of our time together. His words were simple but wise: Love Your People and Leave Well! …. Love Your People and Leave Well! I am grateful for all of you—for all that you have done for me, all that you have meant to me, and all that I know you will continue to be for me. Let us hold each other in prayer in this time of farewells, transition, and new beginnings. – Fr. Robert T. Cooper, Pastor
