INITIATION INTO THE CHURCH
Why should I look into the Catholic Faith?
Why am I attracted to the Catholic faith?
What is the relationship between a personal relationship with Jesus and belonging to the Catholic Church?
Everyone of us is on a journey of faith, and sometimes the Lord asks us to stop and ask the important questions. If you would like to look deeper into the Catholic faith, contact the parish office or one of the leaders.
Who should inquire? Everybody! Including but not limited to:
a. Anyone who has never been baptize
b. Anyone who was baptized in a different Christian faith and interested
in becoming Catholic.,
c. Anyone who was baptized Catholic and would now like to receive the
Sacraments of Holy Eucharist and/or Confirmation.
d. Anyone with questions about the Catholic faith and would like to talk
with someone more in detail.
e. Anyone who has children of Catechetical age (7 or older) who need to
receive Baptism into the Church.
If you know you are interested and are discerning about becoming Catholic, or you have already committed, please contact us as soon as possible. We would love to be able to answer any questions, take time to get to know one another, so we may prepare together for this amazing journey
When do we begin? We will begin in September with the sessions the week after Labor Day. We offer the sessions in both English on Mondays and Spanish on Thursdays.
Note: Due to the New Orleans Saints opening game taking place on
Monday, September 9th, the first session for RCIA in English will be on
Wednesday, September 11th, at 7:00 PM, where we will meet in the Church.
All sessions after the first one will be on Mondays, starting September 16th.
RCIA in Spanish will still begin on Thursday, September 12th, at 7:00 PM.
If you are unable to make it to the first RCIA session but are still interested and desire to join the Catholic Church and/or become confirmed, please contact us and join us for the next session!
