Music Ministry

Music is integral to the celebration of any liturgical event. The voice of the assembly is the primary voice in any liturgy. Singing unifies and deepens, underscores and heightens our worship. When we sing, we join the heavenly hosts of angels and saints, all those who came before us and all those to follow, in our offerings of praise and thanksgiving to God. We are the voice of Christ alive in the world. Through Abraham, God made us a promise. In Jesus Christ, the promise was fulfilled. Knowing all God does for us, How Can We Keep From Singing? Jesus, following a long tradition, prayed and sang with the disciples. You can join this ancient tradition by becoming a member of a music group dedicated to praising God through Sacred Song. In addition to singing, our lively celebrations are enhanced through the gifts of instrumentalists of all varieties. You can offer thanks to God for the many blessings and gifts he has bestowed upon you, your family and the community of Divine Mercy Catholic Church. We are offering you an opportunity, what can you offer in return?

The Music Ministry at Divine Mercy Catholic Church offers a wide variety of musical experiences for parishioners of all ages. We are constantly welcoming new members to our ensembles as they are the lifeblood of all ministries. Whether you are interested in the Adult Choir, Youth & Young Adult Choir, or an instrumentalist of any kind (guitar, bass, flute, trumpet, drums etc.) you can be sure that you will be joining people with whom you will share many wonderful moments making music and lively fellowship. Your musical talent is a treasure that needs to be shared with the community, for the building up of the community and the glory of God!
