BAPTIZED IN ONE SPIRIT TO FORM ONE BODY
The Rite of Baptism is an initiation into the Catholic faith and the Catholic Church, requiring a commitment on the part of parents. For baptism for infants age 0-6, please contact the parish office at 466-5016 or use the link to schedule a baptismal interview, if possible, before the baby is born. Godparents must be baptized, confirmed, practicing Catholics, in good standing, and at least 16 years of age.
A child age 7-17 who is unbaptized or who is baptized in a non-Catholic denomination should be attending Sunday Mass and be in a religious education program or Catholic school for at least two years before receiving Baptism, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion. There is also some special preparation with the children and parents during the two years leading up to the the Sacraments. For more information, please schedule an appointment with our Director of Religious Education.
For information on the Baptism of adults, see Adult Initiation in the Church link on this page.
